Ausiello äußert sich dazu ähnlich:
Sieht so aus, als müssten sie sehr lange mit Plan A und Plan B arbeiten, wie es hier (Achtung Spoiler!) schon angekündigt wurde. Der Wunsch von Thomas ("But if season eight is the last one, I'd want to announce it by [the time of the TV Critics Association summer press tour in July], and tell people, "Watch these last 24 episodes." Quelle) wird wohl nicht in Erfüllung gehen. Schade.

Ausiello: They’re about to begin. But multiple sources stressed to me that the path to an official renewal will be long and (possibly) bumpy. According to one insider, CBS and producer 20th Century Fox Television have had preliminary discussions to set a framework for upcoming negotiations. Translation: They have talked about setting a time to talk. But before both sides can hatch a new licensing fee agreement, 20th has to close new deals with the cast and producers. So it’s probably best to table this until around January.
